The MBB 218 comes with a waterproof faceplate as well as a separate box, functioning as the "brain" of the unit, that can be placed anywhere! This allows you to install the black box in a water-protected area to eliminate the potential problem of water intrusion. Because the faceplate is separate there is little to no depth restrictions! Many individuals are also interested in bringing along their portable media device; rather than having to bring a CD, so we designed the MBB218 with no CD mechanism. Instead, it?s equipped with a Aux-in to plug in either an MP3 player or a variety of other types of portable media.
